Local audio / 04
Offline Room
Listen together. Keep it local.
Overview
Shared listening without the cloud.
Offline Room explores how a small group can hear live device audio together while keeping the session on the local network.
One host shares audio with up to five approved receivers on the same Wi-Fi. The source file is never transferred, and the session does not depend on a cloud account or remote media library.
Technical shape
A deliberately bounded room.
- 01
One host, approved listeners
A host explicitly approves up to five receivers rather than broadcasting audio to anyone who can see the network.
- 02
Local encrypted transport
The prototype uses an encrypted local protocol to move live audio only within the active room.
- 03
Bounded memory
Short in-memory audio buffers support playback without building or transferring a durable copy of the source media.
Product boundary
Platform rules still apply.
Offline Room is a technical prototype, and host capabilities vary by platform and audio source.
